National Joblink (NJL) provide a range of services to the local community including driving programs, employment services and mentoring. FNQ Vocational Academy has partnered with NJL to provide students the opportunity to hone their employability skills, while developing personal and social skills. Recently, NJL supported the students with team building activities via an excursion to the Northern Outlook, working to improve confidence, communication, and problem solving.
Through this program, students will also investigate career pathway opportunities and develop a broader understanding of the world of work and how to navigate the complexities of looking for work, participating in interviews, starting a new job, and communicating effectively in the workplace. This will enable students to be ready and confident in preparation for upcoming work opportunities.
